LOSING MEDICAID
Often times Social Security Disability Recipients lose their Medicare Benefits if their Disability payments exceed the State amount. Finding a plan is imperative in order to avoid larger medical costs. Also a loss of doctor is a possibility.
Employer insurance
Sometimes Medicare may not be the best decision at the time if you are still working or have retirement benefits( either your own or through a spouse). With this you can avoid the Part B premium with no penalty. However there are times where Medicare benefits exceed retirement or employer plans.
Veterans
Veterans can have the option of seeing doctors outside the VA. It gives the flexibility when the VA slows down. If you have TRICARE it is important to keep your Part B coverage and not sign up with any private insurance plan.
